These booking conditions, together with our privacy policy and any other written information we brought to your attention before we confirmed your booking, form the basis of your contract with Kamatta Safari Tours. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations.
To secure your booking, we require a deposit of 30% of the total tour price. The balance must be paid 60 days prior to departure. For bookings made less than 60 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:
All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to change prices listed on our website at any time before you make a booking. After your booking has been confirmed, the price will only change if there is an increase in transportation costs, taxes, or fees chargeable for services, or if exchange rates change. We will absorb, and you will not be charged for, any increase up to 2% of the total holiday cost. You will be charged for amounts beyond that, plus an administration charge of $50 per person.
If you wish to change any part of your booking after our confirmation has been issued, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible. This should be done by the first named person on the booking. While we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet your requested change. Where we can meet a request, all changes will be subject to an administration fee of $75 per person, plus any additional costs and charges incurred by us or imposed by any of our suppliers.
If you or any member of your party needs to cancel your booking, the first named person on the booking must notify us in writing. The notice of cancellation will be effective from the date we receive it. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, the following cancellation charges will apply:
Period before departure | Cancellation charge |
---|---|
More than 60 days | Deposit only |
60-45 days | 50% of total price |
44-30 days | 75% of total price |
Less than 30 days | 100% of total price |
Please note that certain arrangements, such as flight tickets or custom safaris, may have different cancellation charges and may be non-refundable. We will advise you of these at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to change or cancel your booking. Most changes will be minor and will not affect the main characteristics of your safari. For significant changes, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure. You will have the choice of either accepting the change, taking an alternative safari (if this is of equivalent or higher value, you will not have to pay more, but if it is of lower value, we will refund the difference), or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid.
We will accept responsibility for the arrangements we agree to provide or arrange for you as an "organizer" under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Subject to these booking conditions, if we or our suppliers negligently perform or arrange those services and we don't remedy or resolve your complaint within a reasonable period of time, we will pay you reasonable compensation. The level of such compensation will be calculated taking into consideration all relevant factors such as the extent to which our or our suppliers' negligence affected the overall enjoyment of your holiday.
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Your travel insurance must provide cover for safari activities, personal injury, medical expenses, death, repatriation, and evacuation expenses. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, and other unforeseen events.
It is your responsibility to check and fulfill the passport, visa, and health requirements of your chosen destination. We can provide general information about the passport and visa requirements for your trip. Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements, are your responsibility, and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates.
All clients are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others. If in our opinion or in the opinion of any accommodation manager or any other person in authority, your behavior or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other clients or any third party, or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion to transportation, we reserve the right to terminate your booking with us immediately.
Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking. While we will try to accommodate your special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled. The failure to fulfill any special request will not constitute a breach of contract on our part.
These Booking Conditions and any agreement to which they apply are governed in all respects by the laws of Kenya. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises between us out of or in connection with your contract or booking will be dealt with by the courts of Kenya.
